More Moss

All this talk of moss has got me thinking how much I would like a moss garden or terrarium.  I have always loved the colour and textures of moss and found it a fascinating plant.  I saw these on Etsy by Made by Mavis and thought that I would try to make one myself (whilst also creating moss grafitti and moss jewellery of course!)

 

The process is quite simple, you find any type of lidded glass container and I imagine that imagination is key in this.  Any sealed lid would need the seal to be removed.  Line the base of the container with any type of gravel and then a layer of potting compost, then go out into the woods and carefully find tiny plants, removing tiny pieces and making sure you are not breaking any laws and then place these pieces on the compost.  Regularly water and watch grow.  I am in love with moss.
