We spent a very happy few hours taking photos at the Botanical Gardens in Bath at the weekend and I fell in love with these magnificent Magnolias. The Botanical Gardens has an amazing collection of trees including these beauties! The weather was amazing and there was so much to look at. I could not stop stroking the petals on these and had to be dragged away....
These shots were all taken on my latest Polaroid camera, a Land Camera SX-70 using 600 film and adapting the camera to work with the film. This method of photogaphy was shown to me by the very talented Susannah Conway, who is an afficionado of these cameras. My first SX-70 had corroded rollers and a very hit and miss focus so I bought another one recently from Ebay and here are the results!
My lovely him-indoors bought me these flowers for Easter and they also came out quite well on the old SX-70. I love the bright colours and the depth of field that you can get from this camera.
I think Polaroid should pay
Susannah for inspiring folks
to buy these vintage cameras!
I'm waiting for two different
SX-70s to arrive! Can't wait!
These photos are lovely by the
way! Hope all is groovy with you.
