I have been eagerly waiting for this bulb to flower and it certainly has not disappointed so far. I'd love to tell you which variety it is but I just can't remember! The petals have an amazing iridescent quality to them and a inner glow which makes you wish you could just crawl up inside one of the flowers!
I took this with my Polaroid Land Camera SX-70 using 600 Polaroid film. The rollers on this camera are grubby and so create the bright spots you can see on the shot. I don't mind this particularly as it lends something to the vintage quality of the picture.
Lovely Emma, my Amarylis came up blind this year... I didn't even start it off, it just began growing again around October but hasn't produced a flower.
Oh well.

I think it's a beautiful photo Emma! I love Amarylis but have never grown any, always seem to be admiring everybody else's!
